Assignment 2: Classifying Organisms

Scenario:

Police have stumbled upon criminals poaching exotic living things to import into the country illegally. These living things have been seized by the Police and are waiting to be re-housed in the appropriate Zoo or Botanical garden. Working jointly for the RSPCA and the Royal Horticultural Society you can explain the need to classify living things and can make and use keys to aid the identification of organisms. Learning about and describing the main characteristics within the major classification groups will help you produce your keys, identify the living things correctly and discuss where they should be placed based upon their characteristics.
